How to Travel with MS! Flying With A Discounted Support Person For People With Mobility Issues.

Did you know that you can fly with a support person for a discounted fare? All Canadian airlines will offer this to you if your doctor deems it necessary. I called Air Canada today and they walked me through the process. The agent emailed me the forms to be filled out by my doctor and answered all questions I had about my mobility aid. The desk to call at Air Canada is called the Meda desk. It is listed on their website. http://www.aircanada.com . After your doctor fills out the form, you go ahead and book your ticket and call them back to have your support person approved. For flights within Canada you will only pay the taxes for that person. For flights to the USA you will get their ticket for half price.

This should help you feel confident in flight. I know that I feel more relaxed when I have support at home and couldn’t even imagine flying myself some days!
